Obituary for Rosemary Johns

Rosemary Johns
Rosemary Mancuso Johns,77, went peacefully home to be with the lord Monday December 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving children. She was the widow of Thomas J. Johns Jr. who passed away April, 28, 2017.
Rose was born November 22,1940, she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Adeline Turano Mancuso. Born in Carbondale, she resided in West Scranton most of her life.
She was a world traveler, having visited nearly twenty countries including, Thailand, and Egypt. She also had a passion for “winning” at bingo and going out with her many friends,
Rose was loved by all who knew her, she will be sadly missed, she was a true friend to all.
Rosemary’s greatest love of all were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved baking Christmas cookies with all her grandchildren every year. She even raced on Go-Karts with them, she was a true lover of life.
She was a loyal and devoted member of Jackson Street Baptist Church, member of the LOA class for over 50 years.
Rose’s Family would like to thank the doctors at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, and Danville for their dedication to helping her combat scleroderma, their efforts to get her on a trial drug gave her family an additional 8 months, every day was cherished.

Surviving are her daughters, Lucia Johns-Baker and husband Edward, and Lenora Johns-Cunningham and husband Jerry; sons Mario Johns and his former wife Patti, and Richard Johns; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille, Dorina, Linda, and Debbie; a sister in-law, Shirley Freeman; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by tree brothers, James, Domenick, and Michael.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Jackson St. Baptist Church, 1206 Jackson St. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Everyone attending the funeral is kindly asked to proceed directly to church. Family and friends may pay their respects Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Guido-Fiorillo Funeral Home 120 S. Main Ave. Scranton.
