Louis Michael Nole, age 82, passed away at The Hospice of the Sacred Heart, In-Patient Unit,
surrounded by his loving family on January 6th.
Born in Dunmore, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Ida
Litterio Nole. Louis proudly served 39 years in the Army National Guard,
55th Brigade, 109th Infantry, 28th Division and heretired a Sergeant Major.
He had a deep love for and connection with his U.S. Army colleagues and friends.
He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of
Columbus, Dunmore Council #3635, St. Ann’s Council, 109th Infantry Regiment Association and was also a member of VFW Post 6082 in Peckville, PA.
He owned and operated L. M. Nole TV Sales and Service for many years.
He was loved and admired by all who knew him, especially his family. More than
anything, he loved being together with friends and family, sitting around a table,
eating a meal and telling stories. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan DeMarco Nole, and by his three children: daughter, Edie Pettinato (husband Robert), son, Michael Nole (wife Marion), and daughter, Marianne Nole Zuhorski (husband Paul).
He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Jillian Balik (husband Andy), Sue Shutt (husband Jason), Christina Horn (husband Dan), Rob Pettinato (wife Amanda), Alyssa Nole
(fiancé Jerrod), and Francesca and Luca Zuhorski. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. His brother, Joseph Nole, also survives him.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Melba, an infant brother, Joseph, and a sister, Grace Reynolds.

The funeral will be conducted Friday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 North Main Ave, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 a.m. in St. Ann’s Basilica, 1233 St. Ann St. Scranton. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm.
