Obituary for Nicholas Trozzolillo

Nicholas  Trozzolillo
Nicholas Vincent Trozzolillo, 89, of Scranton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 19, 2018 after a short stay at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. He and his wife, the former Anne Lestik, had celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 9, 2017.
Born in Dunmore on September 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Dominick and Rachel Scaramuzzo Trozzolillo. He was a graduate od West Scranton High School and Johnson School of Technology. During the Korean War, Nick proudly served in the United States Army in Japan and Korea. Nick served the city of Scranton as a police officer for 29 years. He retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Also surviving is a son, Nicholas Vincent and wife Lugene, Colleyville, Texas; two daughters, Doreen Nissley and husband Glenn, Lancaster, Pa., Leanne Austin and husband Jeff, Sugar Land Texas; a sister, Angie Erdman, Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Justin Nissley, New York, Gina-Marie and husband Rob Runnels, Houston, Texas, Courtney and her husband Matthew Pierce, Harrisburg, Pa., Nicholas L. Vincent, Dallas, Texas; a great grandson, Greyson Crist Pierce; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Green Ridge Assembly of God Church, 825 Green Ridge St., with Pastor David Twiss, Reverend Judith Schmitt and Reverend Leonard Gilprin as officiating clergy.
Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be conducted at the church, immediately following the religious service. Interment in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Radical Faith Children’s Ministry, 214 W. Market St. Scranton, Pa. 18508.
