Obituary for Karl Kleeman
Kark K. Kleeman a guest at the Wesley Village Skilled Nursing Center, formerly of Scranton passed away at the Center Friday February 9, 2018. His wife of 69 years is the former Christine DeSimone.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Anna Gurlock Kleeman. He was a proud United States Army World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with a long tour in Saipan. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the United Gilsonite Laboratories, and had previously owned and operate a produce business in Scranton for many years.
He was a member of St. Lucy’s Church, and a former member of the Victor Alfieri Society.
Also surviving is a son, Karl Kleeman, Taylor; two granddaughter, Jill Kleeman, and Kimberly Berken; a grandson, Charles Berken; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sister.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 o’clock (noon) in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc. 1030 N. Main Ave.
The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday starting at 10:00 and continuing until the time of the service.
