Obituary for Bernetta Ciullo

Bernetta Ciullo
Bernetta N. Ciullo, 95, West Scranton, passed away Saturday April 14th at Abington Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Peter Ciullo.
she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Carmella Colangelo Verrastro, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and Lackawanna Junior College. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Vermont Sportswear Co., and she was a member of St. Lucy’s Church.
Bernetta’s life centered on family and faith. She loved spending vacations with her children and grandchildren and was well known for her homemade ravs, meatballs, and chicken strips. She loved unconditionally and made everyone she met feel special. She will be dearly missed.
A special thank you to the entire staff at Abington Manor for the care and love provided to our mother the past two years. The family also wishes to thank special friend Phyllis Bellino and Ann Baker for the love and support.
Surviving are her children, Carmen Ciullo and wife Sandra, Binghamton, NY, Patricia Mann and husband Richard, Moreno Valley, CA., Peter Ciullo and companion Sally, Scranton; Grandchildren, Stephen Ciullo and wife Rachel, TX., Paul Ciullo and wife Lauren, Albany, NY, Teresa Ciullo and fiancée Aaron Altamirano, San Diego, CA., Katelyn Mann and companion Josef, Moreno Valley, Ca., Richard Mann, Las Vegas, NV, great- grandchildren, Abigail, Anthony, and Max Carter Ciullo; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday from the Guido-Fiorillo Funeral Home, 120 S. Main Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Lucy’s Church, 949 Scranton St. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery. Family and friend may call Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
